Rachael Ray’s $100K Challenge is three weeks away from the finish line, so it’s crunch time! Since October is also National “Adopt a Shelter Dog” month, we want you to help as many animals in struggling shelters as possible!
In August and September alone, the contestants have saved a whopping 36,017 animals, an 8,000 animal increase from last year over the same two months-how amazing is that?!
Check out a few of these super fun ways to help animals in need & get involved today:
Vote for your favorite/local shelter - Voting is now officially open! Applicants have been duking it out for the top spot since April and you can help your shelter by voting right here.
Adopt a pet - Not only will this put your shelter one step closer to the grand prize but you’ll have a furry friend that you and your family can spoil and love during the holidays! Check out the leaderboard here for how many animal lives have been saved at each shelter.
Spread the word - Rally around your local shelter and get your community hyped up about the $100K prize! Head over to Twitter and check out hashtag #ASPCA100K or Facebook at http://www.aspca.org/Adoption/100k.
