Here’s a snapshot of my first time making a steak at home! I went to the market looking to buy a sirloin steak, as it seemed familiar, but ended up leaving with a cut of flatiron steak per the butcher’s suggestion. Though it wasn’t as tender as I’d anticipated, it was very flavorful! I topped it with herb butter and made parmesan fries as a yummy side!

No grill? No problem! Fire-roasted peppers are so good and a summer salad must, so I got creative in the kitchen. Yum-o!
