Daily Bite: Sautéed Rainbow Chard!
I love this recipe because take under 5 minutes to make and is a healthy, quick and easy side dish! You can dress it up with dried fruits or nuts or keep it simple with just salt and pepper.
- Add oil to hot pan and sauté onions until browned and slightly softened.
- Add stems and sauté until softened
- Add lightly chopped (or torned!) leaves
- Sauté until leaves are wilted

Sign up season for CSAs (community sponsored agriculture) is upon us. Have you registered? I joined Brooklyn Bridge CSA last year and we loved the fruits and veggies we got from farmer Fred each week. (Essentially, you pay the farmer ahead of time for seeds and other capital. Then you share the bounty at harvest time)
Here’s my son, then 4, at distribution. Counting and weighing the carrots, beets and berries are great for math skills.
